Timbermark Sorting and Stacking

Sorter/Stacker

On sorting lines the printers are arranged on a height-adjustable ski, which presents the print head close to the material to produce a quality mark. The heights can be adjusted automatically according to the material thickness, using a signal from the line control system.

The printers also can respond to external data sources, such as graders, sorting line control systems or length measurement devices to select a stamp appropriate to the machine output, or to include variable data.

On stacking lines the mark can be applied where there is sufficient separation of the pieces, or if not the printer can "repeat print" the mark across each layer.

The layers can also be marked effectively using a roller coder, providing there is no requirement to vary the mark.
